ROBERT LEE ‘BOB’ MUTZ

Robert Lee “Bob” Mutz, 48, of R.R.#2, Devlin, Ont., passed away Thursday, May 18, 2000 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was born Feb. 14, 1952 in Fort Frances.
Mr. Mutz had lived all his life in Rainy River District and was employed at the local paper mill for 22 years. He was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, yardwork, and people. He was a good father, and family was foremost in his life.
He attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church, where he experienced the great inner peace with his renewed faith in God.
Bob was united in marriage May 15, 1981 to the former Geri Nugent, who survives along with their four children, Ashley and special friend, Brian, Denis, Allan, and Alyssa.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lori (Greg) Shoemaker of Crozier, Ont. and Tania (Don) Angus of Blackhawk, Ont.; three brothers, Richard Mutz, Tim (Laura) Mutz, and David (Kim) Mutz, all of Devlin, Ont.; his parents, Nick and Shirley Mutz of Devlin, Ont.; his father-in-law, Tom (Phyllis) Nugent of Emo, Ont.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gord (Brenda) Nugent, George Nugent, and Jerry Nugent, all of Thunder Bay, Ont., Georgina Bragg of Emo, Ont., Greg (Carolyn) Nugent of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Rita (Trevor) Thorburn of Kenora, Ont.; a special nephew, Steve; as well as other numerous nieces and nephews.
He also is survived by aunts and uncles, Dennis and Shirley Livingstone, Audrey Lloyd, Annie and Arnie Lahti, and Bill Mutz.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Art and Bertha Livingstone, and Nick and Barbara Mutz; mother-in-law, Janet Nugent; and nephews, Adam and Tyler Nugent.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 22, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances, with Mr. Delbert Barker officiating.
Cremation has taken place in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Pallbearers were Alan Eide, Ralph Boettcher, Bert Holowka, Danny Rae, Brian McKinnon, and Keith Barker.
