Robert (“Bob”) Stewart, 70, of Barwick, Ont., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Bob was born May 21, 1944 in Macklin, Sask. to James and Annie Stewart.
Bob worked at various jobs, including construction and truck driving. He had a great love for farming and his horses.
Bob was united in marriage to Ruth Barron on March 19, 1993.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Ruth; his children, Susan (Dirk) and Alexander; stepson, Robert (Nancy) Barron; and grandchildren, Chelsea, Brianna, Mathew, Connor, and Jax.
Bob also is survived by his siblings, Violet Tibbs, May Tarasoff, and George (Sandy) Stewart; brothers-in-law, Ken (Lois) Barron, Allan (Marianne) Barron, Gerald (Carolyn) Barron, Bruce (Blanche) Barron, Corey Forbes, and Billy (Chris) Berry; sister-in-law, Elaine Barten; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, James and Annie; three sisters; sister-in-law, Barb Forbes; brother-in-law, Lyle Tibbs; and in-laws, Marjorie and Harold Barron.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Barwick Community Church, with Pastor Mark Mast officiating.
