Robert James (“Bob”) Tofte passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at the age of 86, at the Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont.
Bob was born in Bergland, Ont. on March 10, 1932 to Judith (nee Westberg) and Harry Tofte. He resided in the family home his entire life and worked for many years driving truck.
He had a great fondness for music and played guitar. He will be remembered by many playing in the local band called “Country Blue.” Bob also enjoyed travelling in his later years.
He is survived by his good friend, Amber Davidson; brother, John (Davey) Tofte of Langley, B.C.; nephew, Daniel Tofte of Delta, B.C.; niece, Judy Hunter of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; and many good friends.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Judith, and brother, Ed (Vivian) Tofte.
A time of fellowship will be held in Bob’s memory on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m at the Bergland Hall.
Interment will take place in the Bergland Cemetery at a later date.
