With great sadness, the family of Robert “Rob” Edward DeGagné, 55, announces his sudden passing on Sunday, May 22, 2016.
Rob was born March 18, 1961 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Orielle and Pearl (nee Plourde) DeGagné.
Following high school, Rob worked at Bearing Supply in Fort Frances and Winnipeg, Man. He then moved to Atikokan, Ont. to work at Northern Do-It Centre and the Sapawe sawmill before returning to Fort Frances to work at West End Motors.
Rob had a special place in his heart for their granddaughter, Hazel Rose, and loved her weekly visits.
He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse and best friend, Penny Rousseau; mother, Pearl DeGagné; son, Spencer DeGagné; stepdaughter-in law, Sharyn “Mouse” Rogers (Christopher); stepdaughter, Jennifer Rousseau-Krikke (Jason); grandchildren, Hazel Rose Rousseau and Dominick Rousseau-Krikke; brothers, Randy (Cathy) and Michael (Sheri); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rob was predeceased by his father, Orielle DeGagné; stepson, Jarrett Rousseau; and grandparents, Valida and Odilas DeGagné and Irene and Edward Plourde.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. at the Knox United Church (McMillan Hall) in Fort Frances.
