ROBERT ‘BOB’ McKEE

Robert (“Bob”) Richard McKee, 72, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ont. with his family by his side.
Bob was born and raised in Fort William, Ont.
In his earlier years, he was active in numerous sports, especially hockey and baseball.
His work career in the pulp and paper industry began at Great Lakes Paper, taking him to positions in Prince Albert, Sask., Cranbrook, B.C., and Fort Frances, from where he retired.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ethel Angeline (nee Scott); son, Jamie (Elizabeth); five grandchildren; his sister, Betty Wyer; and numerous other relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Winona McKee; sons, Walter Richard McKee and Robert Scott McKee; brother, Walter; brother-in-law, Ted Wyer; and granddaughter, Billy Jean McKee.
Respecting Bob’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
Cremation will take place, with final interment in Mountain View Cemetery in Thunder Bay at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Bob McKee in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
Annual dedicated service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013.
