ROBERT (BOB) JAMES WOOLSEY

Robert (Bob) Woolsey, of Barwick, Ont., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at Penticton Regional Hospital in Pentiction, B.C.
Robert was born Oct. 18, 1934 in Barwick.
He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Inez (Sis) Woolsey, only four short months previously and his father, Harrold Charles Forrest Woolsey, in 1954.
He leaves behind a grieving family, including his loving mother, Leonis Gillies; son, Orval and wife, Vera, and families; son, Robert (Tom) and wife, Jo, and families; son, Harrold (Hal) and families; son, Robin and wife, Patti, and family; as well as 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Betty (Woolsey) and the late Gordon Halverson, Lois (Woolsey) and John Patterson, Ross and Audrey Woolsey, Harold (Keith) and Elsie Woolsey, Gerald and Darlene Woolsey, Donald and Marlene Woolsey, Charles (Allan) and Diane Woolsey, William (Dean) and Cathy Woolsey, and Evelyn (Jane) (Woolsey) and Gerald Allan, and their families.
Robert was on vacation in British Columbia at his passing, living life the way he always believed it should be—to its fullest. He thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and the hard work of farming.
Upon the passing of his father, Robert took on responsibility of the care of his siblings and believed sincerely in the strength of family. He was a hard-working man and stayed involved with his community and friends from the cattle sales barn to the hunting camps.
His phone calls will be sincerely missed by those who were on his frequent call list, especially his mother, whom he called daily for the last several years.
His charisma will be sincerely missed, and his stories and laughter will be only memories now.
Family and friends will be received Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont.
Funeral service to be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home, with close family friend, pastor Peggy Mason officiating.
Luncheon to follow at the Emo Legion.
A private family interment will follow at a later date.
