Richard Albert Morrisseau Jr., 26, of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., passed away suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 in Fort Frances, Ont.
Richard was born April 18, 1981 in Fort Frances to Richard and Phyllis Morrisseau. He was raised and attended school in Fort Frances. For enjoyment he thoroughly liked playing golf, billiards, and fishing.
He was a good worker and a hard worker, and currently was employed at Norfab in Fort Frances for about the past five years. Richard will be dearly missed by his family, co-workers, and many friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Harry Morrisseau; maternal grandfather, Phillip Tom; and maternal step-grandfather, William Glover.
Richard is survived by his parents, Richard and Phyllis (Tom) Morrisseau, and two brothers, Lonny and Matthew Morrisseau, all of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; paternal grandmother, Louise Morrisseau of Couchiching First Nation, Ont. and maternal grandmother, Kathleen Glover of Winnipeg, Man.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A wake will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 from 4 p.m. at the multi-use facility at Couchiching First Nation.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Couchiching First Nation. Fr. Francis Pudicherry will officiate, with burial in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Couchiching First Nation.
The pallbearers will be Dan Davis, Dennis Morrison, Brad Morrisseau, Todd Morrisseau, Chris Morrisseau, William Glover, Dallas Bluebird, and Vernon Horton.
Honourary pallbearers will be Janell Morrisseau, Kelly Morrisseau, Kenneth Morrisseau, Jennifer Morrisseau, Pamela Morrisseau, Kirsten Morrisseau, Dale Morrisseau, Darlene Morrisseau, Michelle Morrisseau, Bryan Martineau, Rachel Martineau, Christina Grover, and Nina Councillor.
