His faithful and joyful service to God continued in Atikokan, Ont., Gimli, Man., LCA Central Canada Synod and Luther Village.
Alf married Ruth in 1978 and retired from Luther Village in 1985, whereupon he entered into many interim ministries—the longest being nine years in Teulon/Inwood.
Alf was an ordinary man who had an extraordinary effect on the lives of all whom he touched. His diverse interests made him an exciting, unique, and well-integrated man with a big heart for all.
He was truly devoted to ministry and the people he served. Alf was a gift of God to us on Earth.
The family extends a grateful thank you to all those who served as caregivers.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 21, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (1311 Dakota St.) in Winnipeg.
