RAYMOND WREGGITT

Raymond John Wreggitt, passed away peacefully at Rainycrest Home for the Aged, with his family by his side on the morning of April 22, 2014, at the age of 87.
Ray was born on October 11, 1926 in Fort Frances, Ontario, at McKenzie Hospital to Ethel (nee Hickerson) and Roy Wreggitt.
After the unfortunate passing of his mother when Ray was only 3 years old, he was raised by his father and his Grandmother Jessie (Hickerson), in Fairington, Ontario.
Ray worked his way through the Woodlands Department for AmericanCan of Canada running various equipment, until promoted to Woodlands Superintendent in Stevens, Ontario. Through this journey Ray met the love of his life Doreen Nymark. Ray and Doreen were married on August 22, 1970. Ray and Doreen raised their 6 children together making many wonderful memories. Ray retired from AmericanCan in 1980 and Doreen and Ray purchased their retirement paradise on “Pair-O-Dice” Road at Bears Pass.
Ray enjoyed his greatest passions, fi shing and hunting with his wife, kids and grandkids while residing there.
After the passing of his wife, Ray relocated to Emo for a short time, and then purchased a home in Fort Frances, where he resided until his passing.
Ray is pre-deceased by his wife Doreen in October of 2004; by his parents Roy and Ethel Wreggitt, brother William Wreggitt, sister in law Norma Wreggitt, grandson Dylan Wreggitt, half-brother Reggie Wreggitt, half-sister Jackie Gushulak, half-brother Terry Wreggitt and brother in law Bob Jensen.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister Elsie Jensen, his children Margaret Ann (Donald) Hill, Lynda (Terry) Mann, Tyrone (Janice)Wreggitt, Terry Wreggitt, Keith (Mary) Wreggitt, and Kenneth (Monique) Wreggitt. Also left to honour his memory are his grandchildren, D’Arcy (Wayne) Jutila, Arlayna (Rich) Atkinson, Brendon (Lisa) Hill, Jason (Stephanie) Mann, Tami-Lynn (Robin) LeBlanc, Tyler (Tess) Mann, Tabitha (Darcy) Ewen, Timothy Wreggitt, Amanda (Justin) Bell, Shane Wreggitt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Holding a special place in Ray’s heart were his great grandchildren, Kennah and Kallahan LeBlanc, Keiran Mann and Ashton Barnes, Gavin Ewen, Satu Jutila and Tenley Mann. When the great grandchildren showed up, all the rules went out the window! Ray loved his great grandchildren to no end and they brought much light to his life.
As per Ray’s wishes, there will be no funeral service held. Ray and Doreen will be joined again at the lake in the sky. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations, may be made to the HEMO Dialysis Unit in Fort Frances at Riverside Health Care Facilities.
