In loving memory of Raymond Michael Parnell, 69, of Fort Frances, Ont., who passed away suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, June; daughters, Susan Parnell of Calgary, Alta., Valerie and husband, Dan Calvert, of Fort Frances, Ont., Allison Parnell and husband, David Cadieux, of Windsor, Ont., and Carolyn Parnell and husband, Tom Donaldson, of Vancouver, B.C.; grandsons, Hunter John Ray Calvert and Sean Thomas Parnell Donaldson; brother, Donald Parnell of Kenora, Ont.; and sister, Gerry Lee of Saint John, N.B.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Dorothy Parnell; sister-in-law, Florence Parnell; and brother-in-law, John (Jack) Lee.
He was born Dec. 13, 1932 in Kenora, where he resided until coming to Fort Frances in the early 1970s. Raymond was united in marriage to June Haverluck on May 25, 1957.
He enjoyed moose hunting, fishing, and going out to the pistol range at the Sportsmen’s Club. He loved being with his family, helping them in any way he could. Raymond loved being a grandpa.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Fr. Rey Ronquillo officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be all of Raymond’s family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
