RAYMOND C. SADEWASSER

Raymond (“Rainbow”) Carl Sadewasser, 60, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2006 at the Falls Good Samaritan Care Center.
Raymond was born July 7, 1946 in International Falls. He grew up in the Falls and later moved to Manitou Rapids, Ont. He lived in Manitou for several years before returning back to the Falls in 1990.
In 1977, Ray attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth and later attended Rainy River Community College in International Falls, where he studied small engine tech. and cabinetry.
Raymond worked in the construction industry as a carpenter for many years and also as a logger. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and making clocks, cedar chests, and many other woodworking crafts.
He loved playing cribbage and watching the Discovery Channel.
Raymond also volunteered as an A.A. counsellor for a short time.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carl & Madeline (Mainville) Sadewasser; and his son, Joshua Carl Sadewasser.
Raymond is survived by his son, Robin (Bridget) McGinnis of Manitou Rapids, Ont.; two daughters, Genny (Shawn Brown) Sadewasser and Katie Sadewasser, both of Manitou Rapids, Ont.,; and six grandchildren, Paige, Daeton, Destiny, Joshua, Tianna, and Reece.
Also surviving are his brothers, Alvin (Tina) Sadewasser of Port Orchard, Wash. and Donald (Donna) Sadewasser of Tacoma, Wash.; two sisters, Marlys Gaetzke and Florence (Fred) Slatinski, all of International Falls, Mn.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Susie Glennie of International Falls, Mn.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in International Falls. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in International Falls.
