
Rachel Ann Service
24, of Fort Frances Ontario died unexpectedly
in her home in Vancouver on February 22, 2022.
Rachel was born August 24th, 1997 in Vancouver British Columbia. Rachel grew up in Fort Frances Ontario. She was loved by many people there and always had two places to call home. On Crowe Avenue and on Second Street with her Grandma and Grandpa. Rachel spent time during the summer at The Island on Rainy Lake and she traveled during Christmas breaks to Mexico with the family.
In 2011, Rachel returned to Vancouver where she lived until her passing. Rachel always referred to Fort Frances as home but her life was in Vancouver where she had many friends and interests. In her twenties Rachel dedicated herself to learning about nourishing her mind, body and spirit. She was passionate to share what she learned and had a loving and genuine concern for others. She loved deeply and she had an affection for all animals.
Rachel’s Grandma, Sharon Myers has waited in heaven to receive her. Left behind to mourn is her mother Carmen Myers (Carole Ann), Vancouver BC, brother John Anthony Myers, Fort Frances ON, Grandfather John Myers of Fort Frances ON, Aunt Jennifer (Charles Coombe) of International Falls MN. Rachel’s father, Sam Service of Vancouver BC, her sisters Andrea Dixon and her husband of Pembrooke Pines Florida, Esther Sims of Oxford UK, Syreeta Sims of Oxford UK, Oona John and her mother Kathy of Vancouver BC, Lexi Service of Florida, Ariana McCarthy Vancouver BC her brothers, Alton Service of Jamacia, Anthony Service of Oxford UK and Rev-i Service and his mother Launa of Vancouver BC. Her beautiful Nephews, many special Aunties, Uncles and Cousins.
A memorial service is scheduled Thursday March 3rd, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the King’s Gate Community Church 796 E 17th Avenue, Vancouver BC. Refreshments to follow.
