PETER WILLIAM BALLAN JR.

It is with deep sadness that the family of Peter William Ballan Jr. announces his passing on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at his home in his sleep of natural causes.
Peter Jr. was born Sept. 15, 1958 in Fort Frances, Ont. He had worked in Toronto as an iron worker. He took great pride in his job and was a member of the International Association of Iron Workers.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and guiding, but most of all he loved his family.
He is survived by his parents, Pete and Sophie Ballan Sr.; and sisters, Toni (Charles) Anderson of Eagan, Mn. and Dorlene (Don) Parsons of Lakefield, Ont.
Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Sherri, Shane, Kelly, Brett, and Sean; great-nieces, Isabelle, Paige, and Brooklyn; several aunts and uncles; and his best friend, Nikki.
He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A celebration of Peter’s life was held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rev. Diane Clifford officiating.
Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances at a later date.
The honourary pallbearers were Ray Ash, Dean Bruyere, Raymond Kielczewski, Brett Lessard, Sean Lessard, Steve Ballan, Kent Ballan, David Strain, David Crichton, and Shane Towner.
