It is with profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Peter Scott Buckle, 47, of Gakijiwanong Anishinaabe First Nation, Ontario.
Peter was born on July 9, 1978, in St. Anthony, Quebec, to parents Barry and Jaclyn Buckle.
Peter loved the outdoors spending time on the water, fishing and camping. Building his own cabin, which was a great achievement for him.
He enjoyed working as a mechanic and helped many in the community. Peter was a maintenance man for the Gakijiwanong Anishinaabe First Nation.
Peter will be lovingly remembered by his partner Shannon; his sons Lomen, Nathan, Trion, Kyle and Reo and his daughter Kaelyn; his parents Barry and Jaclyn Buckle; mother-in- law Janice Jourdain; and his siblings Shelley and Jeffery Buckle.
Also survived by his sister-in-law Janelle (Bob); brothers-in-law Conrad and Angus Jourdain; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter was predeceased by his father-in-law Angus Jourdain Sr.
A traditional wake was held on Saturday, June 20, at 4:00 p.m. at Gakijiwanong First Nation with traditional service the following day at 10:00 a.m.
