Peter “Marvin” Stewart, age 73, passed away suddenly on June 2, 2020 at his residence. He was born on January 7, 1947 to parents Peter and Edith (nee Andrews) in Fort Frances.
He grew up in Barwick. He lived many of his adult years in Calgary and moved to Thunder Bay in 2010. He loved to travel and enjoyed his several bus trips to Toronto to the Canadian National Exhibition and especially his trips to the Emo fair. He loved to meet with family members and always kept up with the events back home (Barwick) by going to the library weekly to read the Fort Frances times. He had a talent of remembering peoples names and dates from many years back. During his years in Thunder Bay he shared many holiday dinners with family. Marvin was always appreciative of the meals, care and companionship he received over the years from Grace Place, and the Shelter House in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service at the Barwick Cemetery on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 1 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Place or the Shelter House in Thunder Bay.
