Mr. Patrick James Menson, age 32 years, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Thunder Bay on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Patrick was born on November 22, 1989, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he grew up with his parents and siblings before the family moved to Seine River First Nation. Patrick was an outgoing, happy-go-lucky and free-spirited man. He made friends wherever he went and truly loved to socialize with those around him. His infectious smile and love of life will live on in the hearts of all of his family and friends.
Patrick will be deeply missed by his son, Cameron; his common-law partner Coralee; mother Marilyn Menson and father Paul Rolette; brothers James, Tyler and Miles and sister Caitlyn. He is also survived by his aunts Laura, Darlene, Val, Alice and Claudette; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Mary Friday and James Menson.
A viewing for Patrick was held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, Thunder Bay.
Patrick was then transported to Seine River First Nation, where a Traditional Wake was held after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in the Gymnasium. A Traditional Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the morning with interment to follow in the Seine River First Nation Community Cemetery.
