PATRICIA (PAT) LUNDY

Lundy, Pat

Patricia May (Pat) Lundy, 75, of 1340 Wallbridge Ave., Thunder Bay Ont., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Pat was born April 30, 1940 in Emo, Ont. to Richard and Amy Orme.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cleland; her parents; and her brother, Thomas.
Pat is survived by her sons, Drew (Cheryl) and Greg (Kathy); grandchildren, Michael (Alison), Erin (Andrew), Ben (Jocelyne), and Zachary (Hilary); and great-grandchildren, Eric, Reegan, Zoey, Peyton, and Astrid Lundy.
She also is survived by her sisters, Janet Judson (Gary) and Mavis Izzard; brother, Art Orme (Anneke); and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Pat worked for many years as a dispatcher for the OPP, and found the work and the people rewarding and challenging. She also was active with the Red Cross Society, helping with monthly luncheons and putting her true passion—knitting—to good use to make various usable articles for those in need.
Pat valued the friendships that she has made through these endeavours.
Pat considered Randy Moore, of the Canada Red Cross, to be part of her extended family, along with a circle of close friends, co-crafters in her various craft clubs, her astronomy club friends, and her “Neighbourhood Watch” gang on Wallbridge Avenue.
Pat always was quick to help and provided positive, non-judgemental, and supportive warmth to all that she did.
She spent many happy hours at the rural Pearson property with her husband, Clee, and later with her son, Drew, and grandson, Eric, who lovingly referred to Pat as “Knitten Kitten,” enjoying nature, the bounty of harvest, and the good fellowship.
Cremation already has taken place.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, an “afternoon coffee and chat session” will take place at a later date.
Satisfaction is gained
by a life well-lived.
