The Tuesday and Comegan families announce the sudden passing of Patricia Ann (Patsy) Tuesday on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Big Grassy First Nation, Ont.
Patsy was born on Sept. 7, 1954 to Pierre Tuesday and Hannah Comegan (Morrison) in Rainy River, Ont.
Patsy was a certified early childhood educator, a homemaker, caregiver, and certified diabetes educator.
She also was a fisher woman, trapper, hunter, and loving mom, grandmother, and great-grandma.
Patsy was an active member of The Elders group of Big Grassy First Nation and a former Pow-Wow committee member. She also was very active as a community member through various roles.
Patsy had a sense of humour that was contagious. She always was teasing and could take a good joke, too.
She loved singing to her grandchildren, nephews, and nieces when they were little toddlers.
Patsy always drove people everywhere. She never declined an opportunity to do someone a favour.
Patsy will be missed. She always had her home open during Pow-Wow time, always inviting people into her home, and she always used to cook during this time. She also opened her home to women who were going through physical abuse.
Patsy loved her jingle dress dancing at the Big Grassy Pow-Wow.
Patsy loved her children and always supported them. She unconditionally loved all her grandchildren and always spoiled them. She wanted only the best for all of her family.
Patsy was predeceased by her step-dad, James Comegan; her son, Julien; father, Pierre Tuesday; mother, Hannah Comegan; Albert Mandamin and David Kelly; brothers, Carl Tuesday, Clifford Tuesday, Stanley Comegan, Ronald Comegan, and Larry Comegan; and sisters, Sharon Comegan, Marie McLaughlin, and Debra and Star.
She is survived by her children, Natasha (Xander and Xeriah), Harvey (Haley and Thalia), Albert (Seth, Janelle, Tirell, and Shamus), Barry (Tharen, Braeden, and Brooklyn), Farrell (Lisa) (Salona, Denum, Kieran, Johnny, and Chante, and grandchildren), and Clayton (Mary) Kelly.
She also is survived by her siblings, Audrey (Sam), Brenda (Wayne), Berni, Rhonda (Joerg), Liz (Ray), Agnes, Susan, Jazz (Amy), Albert (Caroline), Gary (Stella), and Jamie (Samara) Mandamin; sister in-law, Rose Tuesday; and numerous nieces and nephews.
