It is with heavy hearts that the family of Olga Rose Patrick announces her passing on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at La Verendrye General Hospital with her family at her side.
Olga was born on August 13, 1938 in Vita, Manitoba to Harry and Kay Graves. The family lived in Manitoba for several years before moving to Fort Frances. She worked at various businesses in Fort Frances including Ray S. Holmes, the Book Stop and with her uncle Matt Rogoza at the Rainy Lake Hotel.
She spent over 20 years with LaVerendrye General Hospital.
Olga enjoyed picking mushrooms and blueberries, gardening and watching sports, especially curling, hockey, tennis and golf. She enjoyed crafts, Sudoku puzzles, her outings with her sister Doreen, taking trips with Don and Laurie and was an avid reader. She was a very kind, loving and generous person who always gave of herself.
She was united in marriage to George Patrick on July 23, 1959 and was blessed with two boys, Ron and Don. She loved to gather with family for celebrations and spoiled them with her cooking. They looked forward to her baking, her fantastic perogies, cabbage rolls, sweet and sour meatballs and borscht. Every Ukrainian holiday was filled with traditional treats that she created from hand with love.
