NORMAN FRANK HAVER

In loving memory of Norman Frank Haver, 72, of Crozier, Ont., who passed away Thursday, March 13, 2003 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Norman was born Dec. 1, 1931 in Winnipeg, Man. to Fred and Marie Haver. The family moved from Manitoba to Crozier in 1947.
Norman was a plasterer and drywaller by trade. He was truly skilled and worked all over Rainy River District, including the Fort Frances High School, Atikokan High School, and La Verendrye Hospital.
He cut wood during the winter, at first with a team of horses and later with a Cat. from 1966 until 1969, he operated Bestway.
Norman took over the family farm in 1972 and after retiring, farmed full-time.
He was united in marriage to Irene Hill in the summer of 1985. Together, they enjoyed travelling, spending time at the cabin, swimming, canoeing, hunting, and attending the Border concerts.
Norman leaves behind his wife, Irene Hill-Haver of Crozier, Ont.; brothers, Arnold and wife, Marie, of Burriss, Ont., Leonard and Ronald, both of Crozier, Ont., and Edward and wife, Erna, of Little Pine Lake, Ont.; sister, Nellie Jerry of Fort Frances, Ont.; sister-in-law, Mamie Herdman of Miscampbell, Ont.; brother-in-law, Edward (Sandra) Hill of Crozier, Ont.; and nieces and nephews, Val-Marie, Evelyn, Harlene, Ryan, Neil, Jennifer, Kristina, Sean, June, Albert, Candace, and Trista, and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Marie Haver; sisters-in-law, Elvera Haver and Alma Haver; and brother-in-law, Harley Jerry.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating.
Visitation was held Monday, March 17, 2003 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Interment will take place in Burriss Cemetery at a later date.
The pallbearers were Henry Miller, Dale Perusse, Dennis Robinson, Francis Hauner, Wes Jacobs, and Norbert Bragg.
Honourary pallbearers were his brothers, Arnold, Leonard, Ronald, and Edward Haver; and sister, Nellie Jerry.
