Norma Bernice Leveridge, 102, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007.
Norma was born Sept. 17, 1904 in Vespra Township, Ont. She moved to the Rainy River District, where she worked as a teacher at Alexander Mackenzie and Robert Moore schools for a number of years.
She was a member of Knox United Church and the choir in Fort Frances, and the United Church Women. One of her favourite hobbies was sewing.
Norma was united in marriage on Jan. 1, 1938 to Frank Leveridge, who predeceased her on Aug. 13, 1990. She also was predeceased by her parents and 12 siblings.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret Leveridge of Emo, Ont.; nieces, Betty Cawston of Fort Frances, Ont., Winona Morrissette of Emo, Ont., and Linda Jane Leveridge and Margaret Anne Elliott, both of Abbottsford, B.C.; and nephews, Brian Tivy of Kenora, Ont. and Jim Leveridge of Toronto, Ont.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Knox United Church in Fort Frances.
Rev. Frances Flook will officiate, followed by interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
