NEVIN ROGER BONOT

Sadly, Nevin Roger Bonot, 64, of Devlin, Ont., passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Nevin was born in 1950 to the late Art and Dorothy Bonot.
He attended school in Emo, Ont., then went to Fort Frances for high school and finished college in Thunder Bay.
He began working for the Ministry of Transportation, where he remained until his retirement in 2000.
Nevin volunteered on the Emo Walleye Classic committee for 13 years and on the Emo rec council, spending many hours working on the ball diamonds for Emo and Devlin.
He also was a valued member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 99 in Emo.
He loved playing ball, travelling to Whitehorse and Cobourg. Curling took Nevin to Churchill, Man. for the Legion competition and golfing in Texas and South Carolina.
Nevin is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Michelle; brother, Bryan (June) Bonot and their children, Jackie (Andy) McCormick (Calum and Zander), Rick (Amanda) Bonot (Charlie and Macy), Trevor Bonot, and Giselle Bonot; sister, Denise Bliss and her children, Shannon (Derek) Jackson (Davis and Jace) and Laureen (Brent) Lowes (Landon); and sisters-in-law, Donna (Cal) Haglin and Trudy (Bob) Badiuk and their families.
Nevin was predeceased by his parents, Art and Dorothy; brother-in-law, Dave Bliss; and in-laws, Bubs and Jean Hughes.
A celebration of Nevin’s life was held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Devlin Hall, with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
