NENAHGWEGIGABOO (BILL MORRISON)

It is with great sadness the family mourns the passing of Nenahgwegigaboo, 74, of Red Gut First Nation, Ont.
He was born June 15, 1929 in the United States, but was adopted into Red Gut First Nation. He lived most of his life in Red Gut First Nation. On May 19, 1956, he was united in marriage to Helen McDonald.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Helen in 2002; two brothers, Archie Potson and Sonny Potson; and two sisters, Rose Collins and Mary Johnson.
Nenahgwegigaboo is survived by 11 children, Kelvin Morrison (Barb) of Toronto, Ont., Ernie Morrison (Diane) of Red Gut Bay First Nation, Ont., Dennis Morrison, Richard Morrison, Marilyn Morrison and (Carlos) Lopez, Darlene (Nick) Curci, and Lucille Wishnowski, all of Winnipeg, Man., Larry Morrison of Kenora, Ont., Kenny Morrison of Red Gut Bay First Nation, Ont., Dwayne Morrison (Olivia) of Kenora, Ont., and Jennifer Morrison of Winnipeg, Man.; 24 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by two brothers, George Potson of Fort Frances, Ont., and Jim Banks of Stanjikoming First Nation, Ont.; one sister, Nancy Jones of Red Gut Bay First Nation, Ont.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the gymnasium in Nicickousemenecaning First Nation, Ont. Elder Clifford Skead officiated, with interment in Nicickousemenecaning First Nation Cemetery.
A wake was held Tuesday evening at the gymnasium.
Pallbearers were Tom Johnson Jr., Clarence Johnson, Eugene Collins, Roger Allen, Dennis Jones, and Rene Petriemont.
Honourary pallbearers were Jim Banks, Fred Major, George Potson, Nancy Jones, and Don Jones.
