NATHAN EDWIN JACK

Noshkii Bines

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nathan Edwin Jack (Noshkii Bines), born on April 29, 1984, who tragically left us at the age of 40 on January 20, 2025. A beloved son, husband, brother, father, nephew, uncle, and cousin, Nathan was truly one of a kind. He leaves behind a profound impact on all who knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Nathan shared many life lessons with his family, guiding us through milestones and firsts. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing, and he cherished every moment spent on the land. He made sure to teach his children how to provide from the land.

His children were his pride and joy. He took great honour in watching them grow, and he learned just as much from them as they did from him. Their laughter and love helped him navigate life’s challenges, and he remained deeply proud of the young men they are becoming.

A dedicated worker, Nathan poured his heart into providing for his family, always striving to be the best father and husband he could be. Nathan worked for Dyno Nobel for many years and enjoyed his time as a Blaster. He was also a dedicated volunteer firefighter for his community. His commitment to those he loved will never be forgotten.

We will never forget the memories we’ve shared with Nathan. The moments of joy, laughter, and love that shaped our lives and will forever remain in our hearts.

He is survived by his children Nathan Jr., Hayden, Logan and Tristin Jack; wife Allison Jack; father Dennis Copinace; sisters Stacey Yerxa (Cameron), Amanda Copenace (Derek); brother Dennis Copenace Jr. (Elaine); as well as numerous family and friends who will carry on with his memory.

He was predeceased by his mother Karilyn Jack; brother Tristin Jack; sister Tanya Andy; grandparents on both his mother and father’s side; as well as numerous family and friends.

A traditional wake will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Big Grassy First Nation Hall, at 4:00 p.m. A traditional service will follow on Thursday, January 30, at 10:00 a.m. Elder Gilbert Smith will officiate.

Rest in peace, Noshkii Bines. You will be deeply missed.
