At home and within the embrace of loving family, Natalie O. Greig (nee Rinas) passed away gently on Dec. 19, 2007 after a brief but brave struggle with cancer.
She had been born in 1938.
During the late 1950s, while studying at the University of Toronto, Natalie married Brian, her life partner and greatest love.
For more than 40 years, she served her communities as a pharmacist and volunteer, but it was her determined, caring nature and easy laughter that endeared her to all.
The span of Natalie’s love was enormous; she was and remains a mentor, an inspiration to many within her extended family and beyond. She was a faithful correspondent.
Predeceased by her husband, Brian, Natalie leaves her brother, John Rinas; sons, Michael, John, and James; daughter, Lynne Urquhart; grandsons, Dorian and Cameron Urquhart; and dearest friends, Ethel, Peggy, Anne, Stephie, Howard and Jolyne, Lee Min, Evie and Mel, and Tatty and Don.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Gibsons, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests in memoriam donations to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, Box 1761, Sechelt, B.C., V0N 3A0 (1-604-885-8637).
