Muriel Davidson, 87, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004.
She was born Jan. 13, 1917 in Baudette, Mn. to the late Maurice and Clara Dalseg.
Muriel moved to Nestor Falls, Ont. in 1943, where she, along with her husband, Harley, was the owner/operator of the Virgin Pines Tourist Camp. Together, they ran the camp for more than 40 years before they retired.
She was a member of the Nestor Falls United Church and a past member of the United Church Women.
She was united in marriage June 14, 1943 to Harley Davidson, who predeceased her Sept. 12, 1995. She also was predeceased by one brother, Robert Dalseg; and one sister, Janet Folger.
Muriel is survived by her brother, Jack (Phyllis) Dalseg of Nestor Falls, Ont.; and sister, Doris Pope of Fort Frances, Ont. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Muriel’s life was held Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Nestor Falls United Church, with minister Peggy Mason officiating.
The honourary pallbearers were all of Muriel’s family and friends.
