Misty Fay Bahr, 28 of Minneapolis, Mn., formerly of International Falls, Mn., passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born Nov. 2, 1975 in International Falls. She graduated from Falls High School in 1994 and from Hamline University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology and a minor in Criminal Justice.
Misty had lived in Minneapolis since 1994 and was working at Mall of America as a lieutenant with the Security Department.
She was an avid weightlifter and superior athlete throughout school and afterwards. She enjoyed fishing, boating, biking, roller-blading, reading, and playing with her cats.
Misty was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, the University of Hamline Alumni, and an All-American Athlete.
She is survived by her mother, Judy (Gary) Kielczewski of Fort Frances, Ont.; father, Warren (Sylvie Emond) Bahr of International Falls, Mn.; sisters, Laurie Bahr of Minneapolis, Mn., Venisha Bahr of Minneapolis, Mn., and Hollie Bahr of Minneapolis, Mn.; nieces, Gracie Michael Bahr-Jefferis and Ella Rae Bahr-Jefferis; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Green-Larsen Mortuary in International Falls.
The funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in International Falls, with Fr. Roger Bergkamp officiating.
