Minnie Susanna (Min) Caspersen, born in London, England in 1903, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Monday, July 12, 1999 at Cascade Residence (CR2) at Burnaby General Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harald (1978); her son, Donald (1990); her grandson, David (1994); and her sister, Nell Smith of Winnipeg (1997).
Lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Ann Caspersen; grandson, Jim Caspersen (Charlene and family); sister-in-law, Olive Dent and family of Fort Frances, Ont.; and her niece, Kaye Dent and family of Kenora, Ont.
Min also will be fondly remembered by her many other relatives (particularly Nell, Rhonda, and family) and friends, including her more recent friends residing at Rideau Manor in Burnaby.
Min had lived at Rideau Manor since 1988, and was an active participant in all the social programs. To her, Rideau was home thanks to her many special friends and a competent and caring staff.
Min really enjoyed her cards, Bridge, and Bingo evenings.
No service or memorial was held at Min’s request.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank Dr. M. Rasool for his kindness and compassionate care of Min. Heartfelt thanks also to all the staff on CR2 for their genuine concern for Min’s well being.
Rest in peace, Min.
