MILLIE WHITEFIELD

Millie Whitefield, 84, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances.
She was born June 9, 1929 in Bergland, Ont. to Arvid and Julia Edberg.
She was married to Reginald Whitefield on Aug. 22, 1947 and together they raised three children. She enjoyed cooking for them, especially baking treats.
When the children were older, she worked for various businesses in the area, finishing her career in the Kitchen and Laundry at La Verendrye Hospital in June, 1989.
Millie leaves behind her son, Duane Whitefield of Fort Frances, Ont.; daughter, Pam and husband, Leland Westover; grandsons, Clinton and Clayton Westover; daughter-in-law Cecilia; sisters, Lily Stone, Virginia and husband, Bob LaBelle, and Evelyn O’Connell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Reginald on Oct. 24, 1991; son, Darrel; and sister, Doris and husband, Clifford Foster.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 from 7-8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances.
Pastor Brian Keffer will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The pallbearers will be Leland Westover, Duane Whitefield, Clint Westover, Clayton Westover, Karen Chowan, and June Whalen.
