MILDRED LOIS DAWSON

Mildred Lois Dawson, nee Daw, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at her home in Okotoks, Alta.
She was born Sept. 23, 1932.
She will be lovingly missed by her six children, Ronna Bruyere of Okotoks, Alta., Duane Woods of Dryden, Ont., Lyne Brown of Okotoks, Alta., Pam Anderson of Okotoks, Alta., Darrick Woods of Bonnyville, Alta., and Darrell Woods of Bonnyville, Alta.; 12 grandchildren, Crystal Works and Robert Bruyere, Cory, Kirby, and Dale Woods, Sonny Brown, Kyla Anderson and Ashley Brodoway, Landon, Noah, and Kaleb Woods, and Nicole Woods; and six great-grandchildren, Deanna Works and Dakota Bruyere, Brennan and Braeden Woods, and Grace and Carson Brodoway.
She also is survived by her dear sister, Shirley Fisher of Owen Sound, Ont.
Millee loved spending time with her family, playing Bingo, and listening to country music, and always was busy with a special craft or sewing project.
She will be fondly remembered by her many friends as generous and kind, with a great sense of humour. She found joy in simple things and simple ways of life.
Before she retired, she worked as a child care worker at Sybil Russell Hall, where she made lasting friendships with her co-workers.
Millee also was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary for many years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with Rev. Barbara Miller officiating.
A luncheon will follow.
Cremation has taken place, and Millee will be buried with her grandmother, Bertha Daw, at the Fort Frances Cemetery.
