We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Michael Dale Shute a.k.a. Shutey, on July 3, 2016 in Fort Frances, ON at the age of 61.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Shute (née Jourdain); mother, Marcia Shute (née Sonderman); daughters, Michelle Shute (Ryan McAleer) and Jessica Shute (Michael Ferber); brother, Larry Shute (Christine); mother-in-law, Annabelle Jourdain; sisters-in-law, Sherry Jeffers (Curtis) and Dana Doyle (Kevin); brothers-in-law, Shawn Jourdain (Amanda) and Shane Jourdain (Jennifer); many couisns, nieces, and nephews; the Sha Sha, golf, and sledding crews.
He was predeceased by his father, Harvey Shute; brother, Patrick Shute; grandparents, Jess and Violet Mae Sonderman; grandparents, Bill and Mary Tremblay; niece, Katie Shute; and father-in-law, Russell Jourdain.
Mike was born Jan. 28, 1955 to Harvey and Marcia Shute in Baudette, MN. He married the love his life, Shelley, in Fort Frances on March 21, 1981.
He loved spending time on his boat, going to Sha Sha, golfing, riding his snowmobile, and spending time with his wife, Shelley.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his family home at 463 Russell Rd. off Five Mile Dock Rd. from 1:30-4:30 p.m. followed by a gathering at Sha Sha Resort at 6 p.m.
