Mike Law

Mike Law, 57, of Thunder Bay, Ont., and formerly of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 5, 2002 at Nickel Lake, Ont. He was born Nov. 14, 1944 in Fort Frances.
Mike was raised in Fort Frances, where he lived until moving to Thunder Bay in 1988. He had worked for the Canadian National Railway for 32 years in both Fort Frances and Thunder Bay.
Mike loved going to the cabin at Nickel Lake. He also enjoyed bowling and was an avid Bingo player. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mike was united in marriage July 23, 1988 to Karen Paterson, who survives.
He also is survived by his daughter, Trisha Law of Fort Frances, Ont.; step-daughter, Lesli (Scott) Giertuga of Thunder Bay, Ont.; mother, Doris Law of Fort Frances, Ont.; two grandchildren, Garett and Taylor; two brothers, John Law of Fort Frances, Ont., and Nick (Joyce) Law of Brandon, Man; sister, Doris McFee of Courtney, B.C.; and 14 nieces and nephew, David, Murray, Diane, Jackie, Pam, Kevin, Bobby Joe, Jessica, Tyler, Travis, Robert Dean, Sarah, Megan, and Becca.
He was predeceased by his father, John Walter Law; grandparents, Nick and Mary Sereduik; and half-sister, Margaret Slepko.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating.
Honourary pallbearers will be Doug Langtry, Jerry Goliboski, Dan Clarke, Bob Rousseau, Edward Haver, and Rick Stamarski.
