Mike Bauwens passed away at Parkwood Hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999. He was born Sept. 22, 1948 in Bothwell, Ont. and then moved to London as a teenager.
He was the eldest son of Leroy and Shirley Bauwens; beloved husband of Ute since 1982; dear brother of Terry (Nancy) Bauwens of London, Wilfred (Barbara) of Melbourne, Australia, and Mark (Monica) of Stratford; loving stepfather of Peter (Cornelia); and step-grandfather of Diana, Dennis, Kevin, and Gary, all of Duisburg, Germany.
He also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father in 1958 and his mother in 1960.
Cremation has taken place.
At Mike’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service but in memoriam contributions to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada will be greatly appreciated.
