MICHAEL ROACH

After being a burn survivor for five years, Michael Roach, 29, of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., passed away peacefully in his home on June 25, 2015 after succumbing to his injuries.
Parents Pat and Kim and older brother, John, welcomed Mike into the world on Feb. 13, 1986 in Red Deer, Alta.
Mike grew up on Couchiching after the family had moved back to Ontario in 1987. As he grew up, he enjoyed cooking, music, teasing others, and hanging out with his family, cousins, and many friends.
He spent a lot of time outdoors and usually was fishing, hunting, or just sitting around a fire.
Though he was young, Mike did so many different things throughout his life. He attended a large variety of different concerts and festivals, met some of his favourite musical artists, attended college in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., worked on the oil rigs out west, and even experienced the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Mike always was about family, friends, and making life fun. He had a heart of gold and a personality that helped him form friendships with so many people from all around the world.
He never let anything hold him back as he strived to live every day to its fullest.
Mike was predeceased by his mother, Kim; brother, Patrick; grandfather, Wallace “Swede” Bruyere; grandmother, Delores “Dolly” Roach; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He leaves behind his father, Patrick; brother, John (Angela); sister, Sally (Trevor); girlfriend, Ashley, and her boys, Ashden and Alex; his greatest joys in life, nieces and nephew, Rianna, Abby, Johnny, and Audrie; pet and companion, “Rocko;” as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. 
Visitation will take place Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 7-8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with parish prayers being offered at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Frances, Ont.
Fr. Victor De Gagné will officiate, followed by interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at Couchiching First Nation.
The pallbearers will be Ian Lockman, Dave Rousseau, Ron “Magoo” Bruyere, Tim Windigo, Garett Calder, Ed Calder Jr., Joel Calder, and Cole Calder. 
The honourary pallbearers will be all 17 of his male cousins.
