MELVIN CHARLES MAJOR

It is with deep sadness, we the family, announce to relatives and friends the passing of our father, grandfather, and brother; Melvin Charles Major, on the morning of December 29, 2024.

Melvin was born in Rainy River and lived most of his life in Big Grassy River First Nation. An avid fisherman and his children shared his love of the lake often pairing up with them in the various fishing tournaments. The water treatment plant was also another passion. He worked over two decades for the water treatment plant. He would often be seen working on the land/water markers to help ensure water health and safety.
