It is with great sadness that he family announces the peaceful passing of May Rose (Johnson) Roth on July 17, 2022.
May was born to Sue and John Johnson on May 17, 1931, in International Falls, Minnesota. May was their only child.
May was predeceased by her parents and her first husband Charles Cunningham (1982).
She is survived by her children Linda (Andrew) Moulton, Richard (Vivian) Cunningham, Nancy Stinka (Brian Anderson) and Susan (Jeff) Cran. The extended family includes 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
May worked full-time while raising her family. She began in the Woolworth Store in International Falls, moved over to the Stedman Store in Fort Frances and Finally ended her work career in the Canadian Tire Store in Fort Frances. After her second marriage, she settled in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. In 2015, May moved to Whitecourt, Alberta, to live with her youngest daughter.
Cremation has taken place in Whitecourt. At her request there was no service. A private family moment will be held at a later date.
