Matthew Gamie, one, of 43 Palmcrest, Fort Frances, Ont., passed away suddenly at his home Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999.
Matthew was born Sept. 30, 1998 in Fort Frances.
He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather, Mike Gurniak; paternal great-grandfather, Allan Morphet; and paternal great-grandmother, Eleanor Budreau.
Matthew is survived by his mother and father, Sandra Ann and Brian Gamie, and by his brother, Brandon, all of Fort Frances, Ont.
He also is survived by his maternal grandparents, Rick Ronmark and wife, Joan, of Fort Frances, Ont.; paternal grandparents, Darlene and husband, Cecil Fletcher, of Off Lake, Ont., and Gerald Gamie and Joan Hughes of Emo, Ont.; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy and husband, Lawrence Tkachyk, of Fort Frances, Ont.; paternal great-grandmother, Doris Morphet of Emo, Ont.; and by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating.
Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 29, 1999 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers were Richard Ronmark, Alex Gamie, Trevor Andrushuk, and Cal Durbin. Honourary pallbearer was Ron Lemmon.
Matthew will be sadly missed by his parents and brother; and by his grandparents, great-grandparents, Aunt Michelle and Uncle Ron, Uncle Richard, Uncle Alex and Aunt Dorothy, and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
