Mary Margaret McTaggart, age 75, of Stratford, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at University Hospital, London. Born in Alloa, Scotland.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh And Mary Clare (Fletcher) Short, and the beloved wife of 55 years to Ross McTaggart.
Mary also was the proud mother of Ian and wife, Jo-ann, Glenn and wife, Kim, and Andrew and wife, Celia.
She is survived by her wonderful grandchildren, Allison, Gillian and Cameron.
Mary is survived by her siblings: Hugh Short and wife, Claire, Terry Wood, and William Short and wife, Maureen.
Mary will be fondly remembered by the McTaggart family and her many nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed her PROBUS Club and Beta Sigma Phi as well as giving back to the community she was so fond of.
Mary also volunteered with the Red Cross and CCAC-Care Partners Respite Program.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Ken Wood and Hugh McTaggart.
Family and friends may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford.
