After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mary Margaret Catherall passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Mary was born Nov. 14 in Niagara Falls, Ont. She loved gardening and good books, but most of all her family. She was unselfish and always put others’ needs before her own.
A truly beautiful person, Mary will be missed by all lucky enough to have known her. There truly are angels amongst us.
She was predeceased by her father, Joseph DeMarsh, and her mother, Mary Alice DeMarsh.
Mary’s loss is deeply mourned by her husband and love of her life, Laurance, and her children, Christine and husband, David Church, of Haultain, Ont.., Lynn and husband, Tom Major, of Headingley, Man., Scott Catherall of Fort Frances, Ont., and Susan and husband, Philip Jones, of Devlin, Ont.; and seven grandchildren, Ian, Todd, and Jeff Church, Mackenzie and Jessie Major, and Reece and Blake Jones.
Also feeling Mary’s loss are her brother, Charles DeMarsh and wife, Leta; Uncle Ed and Aunt Kit Catherall; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Pastors Garth and Diane Clifford of the Free Methodist Church officiating.
