Mary L. Mose passed away peacefully at her residence, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at the age of 90.
Mary was born April 24, 1917 in Pinewood, Ont. to the late Henry and Hellen Greenaway, and was one of eight children. She was united in marriage to Clarence Mose on Aug. 1, 1938, and resided north of Emo, Ont.
Mary was a dedicated mother and she loved her home, and will always be remembered for her fondness for gardening.
After Clarence’s passing in 1978, Mary moved to the Stafford family farm north of Stratton, Ont., where she remained until her passing.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donna Mose of Peru, Sydney (Martha) Mose of Elko, B.C., Dora Mae (Len) Stafford of Stratton, Ont., and Roger (Marlene) Mose of Emo, Ont.
She also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Mary Ann, Lisa, Ross (Arlene), Scott (Tasha), Allyson (Brent), Keith (Angela), Sheldon (Miriam), and Wade (Kristi); and her 10 great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her sisters, Margaret Greenaway, Mae Greenaway, and Katie Browning; brother, Jake (Ila) Greenaway; and sister-in-law, Muriel Mose.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; brother, Harry Greenaway; and sister, Christina Hines.
Friends were received Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, where funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at 1 p.m., with David Jury and Rob Shultz officiating.
Reception followed at the Barwick Community Hall.
Interment will take place in Emo Cemetery at a later date.
The pallbearers were Ross Stafford, Scott Stafford, Lisa Mose, Keith Mose, Sheldon Mose, and Wade Mose.
