MARY KAYE KAWULIA

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Kaye Kawulia on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre Hospital in Winnipeg, Man.
Mary Kaye was born April 26, 1931 in Gardenton, Man. A few years later, she moved with her family to Fort Frances, Ont., where she attended Robert Moore School and Fort Frances High School.
At a young age, Mary Kaye became interested in the women’s apparel industry and spent her entire life working in women’s fashions in Toronto, Hamilton, and Chicago, Ill. She ended her career in Winnipeg.
Mary also modelled clothes and jewellery, and was featured in the Toronto Globe and Mail.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Kawulia; and one brother, Metro.
She is survived by her two brothers, Peter of Chicago, Ill., and William T. of Fort Frances, Ont. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Marietta Marshall officiated, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers were Walter Wowchuk, Metro Wowchuk, Mitch Kawulia, Peter Kawulia, Nick Kawulia, and Nick Kawulia Jr.
