MARY JOAN SHINE

Surrounded by the love of her family, at the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ont., Mary Joan (Deir) Shine of Burlington lost her fight with cancer on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 in her 66th year.
Beloved wife of Glenn Shine, formerly of Fort Frances, Ont., for 41 years; much-loved mother of Ann Krajcar (Dean) of Burlington, Ont., Elizabeth Larsen (David) of Saskatoon, Sask.,
and Patrick of Burlington, Ont.; and cherished grandmother of Matthew, Lauren, Elliott, Sarah, and Oliver.
Dear sister of Bill Deir (Jane) of Gananoque, Ont. Paul Deir (Ellie) and Larry Deir (Patricia), all of Kingston, Ont., and Danny Deir (Maureen) of Lansdowne, Ont.
She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Deir.
Memorial visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at Smith’s Funeral Home in Burlington, with vigil prayers at 8:30.
A memorial mass was celebrated Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Burlington.
Interment has taken place in Gananoque.
