Mary Godin (nee Romanow), 86, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998 at the Good Samaritan Care Centre in the Falls.
Mary was born June 6, 1912 in Gonor, Man, where she grew up. She then lived in Devlin, Ont. and later moved to Fort Frances, Ont. in 1949. She moved to International Falls in 1953, where she had lived since.
She was married Aug. 31, 1949 in Fort Frances to Bill Godin.
Mary was a homemaker who was known as a seamstress, as well as for her needlework and gardening. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, and the Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her sons, Henry Macadon and David Godin, both of International Falls; and daughters, Eleanor DeGagne of Fort Frances, Christine Roderick of Bellingham, Wash., and Carol Pigeon of Sudbury, Ont.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five sisters; and seven brothers.
Mary was predeceased by her parents; and her first husband, Pete Macadon in 1947.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Green-Larsen Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Interment to be in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
