It is with great regret we announce the death of Mary Drawson on June 25, 1999.
Formerly of North Marks Street, Mary passed away at McKellar Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ont. due to an accident sustained at her home.
Originally from Fort Frances, Ont., she moved to Thunder Bay to pursue her hairdressing education and establish a successful business, operating as Drawson’s Unisex Hair Clinic for more than 50 years.
Hairdressing was a very important part of her life until her retirement three years ago.
She is survived by her sons, Blair (Annie) of Toronto, and Derric (Terri) of Thunder Bay. She also is survived by her most precious of all her grandchildren, Oliver, Lily, Tyler, and Danielle; brother, Nick (Amelia) of Fort Frances; as well as many friends she encountered over the years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Pauline and Steve Mutz.
Mary was like a pillar of strength that touched us all. She was a strong and determined person from whom a lot of us would draw our strength. She will be forever loved and cherished by her family.
Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening, June 19, 1999 from 7-9 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel.
A private family interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
If friends so desire, memorials to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Mary Drawson in the Blake Funeral Chapel Grove. The annual dedication service is Sunday, June 25, 2000.
