Mary was born Nov. 30, 1913 in Pinewood, Ont. and grew up in Stratton. On Nov. 5, 1939, she was united in marriage to Sigurd Olson, and they spent many memorable years working in tourist camps on Lake of the Woods.
Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She was always making something for somebody. Mary’s home also was always open to family and friends. She was an excellent cook and a great cookie maker.
She was lovingly referred to as “Grandma Osie” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were frequent recipients of much of her baking and knitting.
Mary loved her church, Victory Baptist, which she faithfully attended, and enjoyed the ladies’ fellowship group.
In the last year, her health was deteriorating but we are thankful to God for the many precious years He allowed her to be here with us. She is now Home, safe in the arms of her faithful Saviour Jesus Christ.
