Peacefully at the La Verendrye Hospital, Fort Frances, ON, on August 4, 2012, Marvin Hele of Fort Frances, passed away at the age of 96.
Marvin was born on February 28, 1916 in Minnesota, USA. He moved to Ontario at young age settling in North Branch, Ont.
Marvin was united in marriage to Leila Brigham on December 26, 1940, and together they spent most of their married life in Nestor Falls, Ont.
Marvin worked in the tourist industry for many years as a guide and had a great love for the outdoors.
He also worked for the Ministry of Transport. He enjoyed hunting, carpentry and playing the accordion.
He is survived by his daughters, Elaine (Terry) Clifford of Nestor Falls, ON, and Linda Stenvall of Calgary, AB; his grandchildren, Derek, Jennifer, and Laura; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Louise Hele; his spouse, Leila; and his son, Brian.
Family and friends will be received at the Northridge Funeral Home, Emo, ON. for a time of remembrance on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. A private family interment will take place Emo Cemetery.
