Sadly, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marvel Emma Engler.
Mom passed away peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
A lifelong resident of Fort Frances, Mom was predeceased by her husband, Mike, and son, Scooper (Mike Jr).
She is survived by her daughters, Toni and Teresa; daughter-in-law, Mary (Mike Jr.); and sons, Lynn (Hilda), Bill (Trudy), Emil (Margot), Peter, and Doug (Tanya).
She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mom also leaves to mourn her sisters, Edna (Ralph) Benjamin and Renie Jaman; along with sister-in-law, Nettie Amorde, and special niece, Tarra.
Marvel was proud to be a long-time member of the Catholic Women’s League and the church was an important part of her life. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and loved to share their stories.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances c/o Green Funeral Home, P.O. Box 427, Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 3M8.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
