Sadly we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Marvel Emma Engler.
Mom passed away peacefully in the early morning of Feb. 20, 2016 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.
A lifelong resident of Fort Frances, Mom was predeceased by her husband, Mike, and son, Scooper (Mike Jr.).
She is survived by her daughters, Toni and Teresa; daughter-in-law, Mary (Mike Jr.); sons, Lynn (Hilda), Bill (Trudy), Emil (Margot), Peter, and Doug (Tanya).
She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mom also leaves to mourn sisters, Edna (Ralph) Benjamin and Renie Jaman; along with sister-in-law, Nettie Amorde; and special niece, Tarra.
Marvel was proud to be a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League and the church was an important part of her life.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and loved to share their stories.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home with Father Victor De Gagné officiating.
