MARTHA DURBIN

It is with great sadness that the family of Martha (Dolly) Henrietta Durbin announces her passing Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000 at the age of 81.
Her main interests were the time spent with her family, her home in which she enjoyed baking for everyone, and reading tea leaves. Going to her grandsons’ hockey games was a special joy for her.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years, Samuel; one daughter, Dianne (Reino); one son, Dann (Tracy); five grandchildren, Blake, Marlla (Tim), Ashley, Adam, and Blair; and two great-grandchildren, Kylar and Timmy.
She also is survived by her sisters, Isabel Busch and Olive Fagerdahl, both of Fort Frances, Ont.; one brother, George Whitefield of Fort Frances; sisters-in-law, Mildred Whitefield of Fort Frances, and Roma Demerais of New Westminster, B.C.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was predeceased by parents, Reginald and Jemima Whitefield; brother, Reginald Whitefield Jr.; and sister, Vivian.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Memorial service and luncheon followed at the Moose Hall (317 S. May St.)
