It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our very deeply-loved Marshall Manns Jr., 50, of Marion Lake, Ont., who went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 4, 2006.
Marshall was born Nov. 29, 1955, married Karen Manns (nee McNally) in July, 1982, and together they had three wonderful children. He worked in the tourist industry all his life.
He was a kind, caring, and honest man who always was there to lend a helping hand, always with a smile on his face. He was a devoted husband, father, and son.
He loved the outdoors and spent many wonderful years hunting, fishing, and fur trapping. He was highly-respected by his co-workers and everyone who knew him.
He was strong in his faith and very active in the Baptist Church.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karen Manns, of Marion Lake, Ont.; children, Noah (Lyz) Manns and Roxanne (Dwayne) Manns, both of Atikokan, Ont., and Crystal (Dave) Manns of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and grandchildren, Skyler and Jordyn.
He also is survived by his mother, Lou Ann Manns; siblings, Rob (Linda), Paula (Timo), and Karyn (Clayton); as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Marshall Manns Sr., in May, 2004.
A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 8, 2006 at Riverview United Church in Atikokan, with Pastor Ken Stainthorpe officiating.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Atikokan General Hospital or the charity of your choice.
